Battle Company, 2nd Battalion Airborne of the 503rd US Infantry are currently undergoing a 15 month deployment in the Korengal Valley in the eastern province of Kunar in Afghanistan. The valley is an epicentre of the US fight against militant Islam in Afghanistan, and was previously held by the 10th Mountain Division. The Korengal valley is infamous as the site of the downing of a US helicopter. The valley has the highest concentration of fighting in Afghanistan and has the most munitions used than any other area of operation.

05.10.2006. Chad. Bahai.
The dire situation in Darfur dates back to March 2003 when the Muslim militants of the Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) and the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) started attacking government forces in the western regions of the Sudan. These days the conflict extended to provinces in eastern Chad, across the border from Sudan\'s war-torn Darfur region, and could be extended further. The conflict is getting more complicated due to the different militia groups and tribes involved.

Как и обещал начинаю постить фотографии с \"WORLD PRESS PHOTO\".
Первые два поста сделаны по материалам WPP Presskit contest 2008.
